Yash’s 3-wicket haul reduces Vidarbha to 120/5 in second innings
Porvorim : Snehal Kauthankar’s 149 anchored Goa’s response before Yash Kasvankar struck three times to halt Vidarbha’s second-innings on day three of their Dr (Captain) Thimmappiah Memorial Cricket Tournament match at the IAF Ground. Vidarbha led by 185 runs at stumps.
Goa, resuming from 174/4, were bowled out for 328 in 105.3 overs. Kauthankar anchored the innings through a 280-ball stay, striking 16 boundaries, but fell one run short of his 150 when Rajneesh Gurbani dismissed him. Vidarbha’s Nachiket Bhute returned 4/57, while Ganesh Bhosle and Darshan Nalkande claimed two wickets each.
Vidarbha began their second innings positively, reaching 67 without loss before opener Atharva Taide was run out for 38. The dismissal triggered a collapse, with Vidarbha slipping to 120/5. Yash Kasvankar led Goa’s fightback with 3/26, while Samit Aryan Mishra took one wicket.
At stumps, Vidarbha were 120/5, holding an overall lead of 185 runs with the final day remaining.
