Super SC, Shuttlers Club to clash in final

Super Sports Club and Shuttlers Club booked their places in the final of the GCA B Division after registering contrasting victories in their respective semifinal matches at Panjim Gymkhana.

In the first semifinal, Super SC outplayed Union SC Marcela by 209 runs. Batting first, Super posted a total of  278 all out, on the backs of half-centuries from Shaheen Surlakar (59) and Akhil Patil (50), while Narendra Sale chipped in with 30. Gauresh Sawant (3-42) and Bhalchandra Divkar (3-60) were the main wicket-takers for Union.

In reply, Union collapsed for a low total of 69 all out  as Sale led from the front with 6-36, supported by Sandip Navik (4-16).

In the second semifinal, Shuttlers Club defeated Diwar SC by five wickets. Diwar were bowled out for 95, with Sazu Naik (24) and
Umesh Naik (22) offering some resistance. Ankit Mukherjee (2-24), Nazrul Miya (2-22) and Namesh Kankonkar (2-29) shared the wickets.

Chasing 96, Shuttlers reached the target in 22 overs, guided by an unbeaten 42 from Dishan Poojary and a handy 15 by Nazrul Miya, despite a four-wicket haul from Prasad Halankar (4-36).
