Sridora Caculo College triumph in men’s hockey

Sridora Caculo College of Commerce & Management Studies, Mapusa, emerged victorious in the Goa University Inter Collegiate Hockey Men’s Championship 2024-25, defeating Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye Government College of Arts and Commerce, Pernem, 3-0 in the final at the Hockey Turf, Dayanand Bandodkar Krida Sankool, Peddem, Mapusa.

En route to the final, Government College, Pernem, secured their place with a commanding 4-1 victory over Government College, Quepem, while Sridora Caculo College edged out St Xavier’s College in a thrilling 4-2 contest.

With 11 teams competing in the tournament, the competition was intense, but it was Sridora Caculo College that stood tall, claiming the championship in style. Adding to the honors, Government College, Pernem’s Vivek Naik was adjudged the Best Player of the tournament for his exceptional performances throughout.

The winning team included: Nishit Hegde, Mahadev Naik, Abbas khatib, Soum Naik, Shodhan Naik, Tushal Haldankar, Gaurav Shetgaonkar, Mukesh Naik, Manjunath  Bangar, Vighnesh Phondekar, Maharsh Sawant, Sumit Shetgaonkar, Prashant Agharia, Prajal Shet, Shubham Sharma, Suyesh Mayekar, Dilkash Aroskar and Sahil Khajnekar.
