‘Rakshas Battle of The Bands- the Resurrection’ took place on August 15, a decade later, at the same venue, Emerald
Lawns, Parra.

Eight bands— Roar Engine, Collision Course, Hous, Ekshama (from Nagpur), Ghanghor, The Quarter Life Project, Breaking Limits, and Thunder Cave (from Meghalaya) were in competition for the top three prizes in trophies and cash.

Nixon Soares, Tony Fernandes, Colin Dias, Greg John, Lionel Mascarenhas judged the event while musician and teacher GPA (Gaurav Phadte Armstrong) hosted the show.

The format of the competition established from the very first Battle of the Bands was followed this
time as well.

Apart from the competiting music, Bad boys from Margao- Bad Blood, released the video of their Konkani Rock song ‘Apghat Kelo’ as a tribute to all Goan singers, especially Lorna, with their lead singer, Blasio. An impromptu jam session, performances by Tidal Waves GinXx, and DJ Ashton kept the crowd entertained.

Third place was a tie between Roar Engine and Breaking Limits who received Rs. 15,000 and trophy. Ghanghor won the second prize and Rs. 20,000 and a trophy. Thunder Cave- Meghalaya won the first prize with Rs. 25,000 and trophy.

Spot prizes of Rs. 5000 each were given to the Best Lead Guitarist (Roar Engine) and Best Bass Guitarist
(Breaking Limits).
