Tour Operators Association of India (TOAI) held its Global Tourism Summit at a star hotel in Calangute.

The event was graced by various dignitaries, including Deepak Narvekar, deputy general manager of Goa Tourism
Development Corporation,

Rakesh Mathur, president of the Responsible Tourism Society of India (RTSOI), Abdul Nazir, president of TOAI, Peerzada Faiyaz Ahmed, national advisor to TOAI and Shrikant Samant, state co-ordinator &
GTS convenor.

Speaking on the occasion, Deepak Narvekar shared insights into the future plans of the Goa Tourism, highlighting the state’s commitment to sustainable tourism development and Goa beyond Beaches campaign initiated by Department of Tourism.

Rakesh Mathur emphasised the importance of environmental awareness among the public and law enforcement agencies, stressing the need for collective efforts to promote responsible tourism practices.

The summit featured engaging sessions and discussions focused on ‘Tour Operators Vs Online Travel Portals’, knowledge session on GST & TCS by Chartered Accountant Vaibhav Pai Fondekar, sustainable tourism, destination management, tourism
infrastructure, etc.

The event brought together industry stakeholders, experts, and policymakers to share knowledge, best practices, and innovative solutions to drive the growth of the tourism sector.
