The Times of India clinched the Inter-Media Season Ball Cricket Tournament title, defeating Prudent Media by seven wickets with 15 balls to spare at the GCA Academy ground in Porvorim.
Prudent Media, opting to bat first in the 15-over-per-side final, posted 91/7. Early dismissals left them struggling, but Pawan Zantye (24) and Laxman Gawandi (21) steadied the innings. The loss of all-rounder Avinash Joshi due to injury further weakened their batting. Flavio Lopes (2/13) and Prasad Patil (2/16) led the charge with the ball for the Times of India, supported by Akhil Pillai and Rajtilak Naik (1 wicket each).
In response, Times of India cruised to victory, with Prasad Patil top-scoring with 32. A solid 47-run opening partnership between Patil and Sardar Raut (11) laid the foundation. Akhil Pillai (17*) and Ranjan Deka (11*) saw them home in just 12 overs.
