USC Seraulim lay hands on Vaidya Family Cup

They beat Sporting Club Davorlim 2-1 in final; Nayab, Sakshan fire one each

Cuncolim: United Sports Club of Seraulim lifted the Vaidya Family Memorial Cup, edging past Sporting Club Davorlim 2-1 in the final at the Cuncolim ground.

The opening half saw Davorlim control the midfield, but the Seraulim defense stood firm to keep the scores level at the break.

Switching sides, Seraulim came out with intent and found the breakthrough in the 54th minute. Nayab Khan capitalized on a  cross from Sakshan Shanke to slot home the opener.

However, Davorlim responded instantly, restoring parity just a minute later.

With the game on a knife’s edge, Seraulim pushed for a winner. Their persistence paid off in the dying moments as Sakshan turned from provider to finisher, firing in the decisive goal from a Savan Lotlikar assist.
