USC Seraulim marched into the final after a 2-1 win over Fr Agnelo YSC Paroda in the Vaidya Family Memorial Cup at Cuncolim ground
on Thursday.
In the first half, Seraulim displayed control over the midfield creating chances at the rival goal.
Their persistence paid off in the 15th minute when Savan Lotlikar smashed one in, giving his
side the lead.
Fueled by the goal, Seraulim struck once again as Gladson Braganze tapped one in.
The second half saw Paroda with a renewed purpose determined to find a breakthrough and managed to do so through Sowell Fernandes in the
51st minute.
In the dying minutes, Paroda pushed hard for the equalizer but the Seraulim defense held firm to secure their side a narrow 2-1 win and sealed a spot
in the final.
Seraulim’s Gladson Braganza was awarded the man of the match by
Shefali Vaidya.
