Panaji: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that a vision document is being prepared for the state which would be ready by December 19, Goa’s Liberation Day, and would be fully implemented by 2037.

“This vision document will help us in achieving the Viksit Goa 2037 goal,” he said. “We hope to make Goa a developed state 10 years before the country reaches Amrit Kaal 2047.”

Addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters in the city on Tuesday, Sawant said that the party is celebrating ‘Sankalp se Siddhi’ programme to commemorate the 11 years of good governance by the Narendra Modi government.

“We will soon hold gatherings around Goa and distribute leaflets and booklets to the people to disseminate information about the achievements of the Modi government,” he said.

Sawant along with the state BJP president Damodar ‘Damu’ Naik released ’11 Saal’, a book on ‘Seva, Sushasan and Garib Kalyan’ (Service, good governance and welfare of the poor) linked to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) regime in the country.

“Goa is among the first states to implement the 13 flagship schemes of the Modi government such as Har Ghar Nal Se Jal, Swachh Bharat, Har Ghar Bijli, Meri Sadak, Ujjwala, Awaas Yojna and so on, and has cent per cent completed almost 80 per cent of these schemes,” he said. Stating that ‘Sankalp se Siddhi’ aims to propagate the people centric governance in Goa focusing on welfare of youth, women, farmers and poor community, Sawant said that the Wanarmare community of Nirankal and Pernem would be extended all help so that they are assimilated into the mainstream under the PM Janman Yojana. “Two of these community members have been given senior citizen cards, while two others given pension benefits,”

he added.

The Chief Minister also said that agriculture in Goa has prospered over the years and today modern technology including drones is being used for this sector.
