Winners of 10th Tiatr ‘B’ Group Competition 2024-25 declared

The results of the 10th Tiatr ‘B’ Group Competition 2024-25, organised by Kala Academy at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, were recently announced. A total of six institutions participated in the competition. The judges for the competition were William Fernandes, Ashwin D’Souza, and Sharon Mazarello.

The second prize for Best Performance was awarded to Dhoronn, while the third prize went to Ek Neketr Palouta. Gabriel Crasto won the second prize for Best Actor, and Valency D’Souza took home the first prize for Best Actress.

The Best Child actor award was presented to Lawson Colaco.

Sachin Shantaram Chowgule won the first prize for Best Direction, with Francisco Xavier Pereira receiving the second prize.

Fr. Bolmax Pereira won the award for Best Lyrics for Tiger Reserve Tempa Pormonnem, Mateak Khurponnem.

Nazareth Goudinho claimed the first prize for Best Male Singer, while Xavier Mascarenhas won the second prize.

Jensina Pereira won the first prize for Best Female Singer, followed by Jival Fernandes, who secured the second prize in the same category.

Delilah Peter Lobo won the award for Best Child Female Singer, while Nathan Emmanuel Fernandes won the Best Child Male Singer prize.

The prize for Best Band was awarded to Senon Silvestre D’Souza & Troupe, including Manuelino Cruz, Francisco Roque Fernandes, Normon Cardozo, Crusandino Pires, and Nolvert Cota, for their performance of ‘Aiz Mhaka, Falea Tuka’.

Casiano Edward D’Souza won the first prize for Best Negative Role, with Jenevie Vaz securing the second prize in the same category.

Romeo Colaco was awarded the prize for Best Setting for the Tiatr ‘Ek Neketr Palouta’.
