Rohan Keni, the state topper for joint entrance examination (JEE) Main session 1, wants to pursue a career either in physics or aerospace engineering.

Rohan is presently preparing for JEE (Advanced).

“I want to pursue a career either in Physics or in aerospace engineering,” he said, adding that he wishes to join IIT Bombay or IIT Kharagpur. A student of Dempo PACE, Rohan completed his secondary school education from Sharada Mandir School.

On an average, Rohan spent three-four hours of study during school days and about six-seven hours of study during holidays.

“Though the coaching classes do matter for achieving this success, one has to put in efforts and hardwork himself,” said Rohan.

Principal and Academic Director, Dempo PACE, Prof Rupa Prabhu Khope said that Rohan is a blessed child and he loved Physics, Chemistry and Maths.

“He was interested in learning and never studied for marks, but only for knowledge. I can see scientific temper and equanimity in his nature. He is very sincere and systematic, clear and focused,” she said, adding that she was not surprised to see him as the state topper.

“Now one more challenge of JEE Advanced awaits him. Rohan showed interest in higher level topics in secondary school.
He was well prepared for challenging study in XI
and XII. His numerical abilities and conceptual abilities are excellent. I have never seen any stress on his face,” she said. Khope said that regularity and consistency is the key to success.

“There is lot of practice required. Weekly paper solving and error analysis is a must. One needs to have numerical and conceptual abilities and mathematical foundation should be strong,” said Khope.
