Panaji: The Economic Offences Cell (EOC) of the Goa police on Tuesday filed chargesheet before the District and Session Court, Margao against Myron Rodrigues and his wife Deepali Parab in connection with one of the investment fraud cases of over Rs 41.54 lakh.

Police said that a notice under Section 41 A CrPC was issued on August 11, 2023 to Deepali who is currently absconding. Police said that a Red Corner notice will be issued soon against Myron who is out of the country.

Police said that filing a chargesheet is an essential requirement of opening Red Notice through Interpol. A red notice is a request to law enforcement worldwide to locate and provisionally arrest a person pending extradition, surrender, or similar legal action.

“The accused persons cheated the complainant and a number of investors who had invested a large amount of money which they used for personal gains and to fund their lavish lifestyle. The accused had created a complex web of financial transactions, involving multiple bank accounts and companies,” said SP EOC Arshi Adil.

The second alleged multi crore investment fraud case was transferred from EOC to the crime branch in which there are eight accused —Sunita Rodrigues, Myron Rodrigues, Deepali Parab, Nolan Lawrence Antao, Joaquim Rosario Pires, Vijay Dattatray Joil, Navnik Mario Pereira and Sushant Manohar Ghodge. Police said that Sunita was arrested on December 7, 2024 and later released on conditional bail. While Myron and Deepali are absconding, the anticipatory bail applications of the remaining five accused are pending before the District and Sessions court Margao, said police.

So far police have attached gold ornaments and jewellery weighing 4.361 kgs worth around Rs 3.37 crore, 6 flats and 1 villa and property documents were attached in connection with the cases.
