Vagator PYSC were crowned champions of the GFA Second Division League after a hard-fought 2-2 draw against South Goa United at Navelim Ground
on Wednesday.

Rutik Bandodkar and Melson Fernandes found the net for Vagator, securing a crucial point that saw them top the all-Goa playoffs on goal difference with five points from three matches. The result also confirmed their promotion to the GFA First Division League. South Goa United, who matched Vagator’s tally, finished second courtesy of goals from Alex Fernandes and
Pedro Gonsalves.
