Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday said the draft Goa Transport Aggregator Guidelines, 2025, aimed at regulating taxi and motorcycle taxi services through app-based platforms, has not been notified, and the final decision would only be taken after a meeting to be convened between August 20 and August 25, with the involved MLAs, taxi drivers, their associations and the
stakeholders.

“As the guidelines have not been notified, there is no compulsion of any kind about the same,” he said while replying to a Calling Attention Motion. Sawant said no decision on taxi aggregators will be taken until the meeting
is held.

Meanwhile, leader of the Opposition Yuri Alemao demanded scrapping of the guidelines.

Earlier, several MLAs demanded a clear assurance that taxi aggregators would not be permitted in the state to protect the interests of local taxi operators.
