Sunaparanta Goa Centre for the Arts is all set to host a new batch of ‘Pencil to Portfolio’, a visual arts programme for young adults (11 to 18 years) commencing on June 27, 2026. Designed for students aspiring to pursue higher education in art, design, architecture, fashion or animation, the programme is equally suited to anyone interested in nurturing their creative abilities and developing a strong artistic foundation.

The 24-session programme has been conceptualised by senior artist Rajendra Usapkar, and will be held every Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m. Through a carefully structured curriculum, participants will be encouraged to identify and develop their individual strengths while building confidence in their
artistic practice.

Usapkar, along with guest artists Leticia Alvares, Vijay Bhandare, Swapnesh Vaigankar, and Siddharth Gosavi, will offer personalised training and guidance to students to express their talent, sharpen their observation skills, encourage material exploration, develop critical thinking, and build a cohesive portfolio.

The programme will conclude with a showcase of student work, offering participants the opportunity to experience the process of curating and exhibiting their creations alongside their peers, and sharing them with family and friends. Students preparing applications for professional colleges will also benefit from portfolio reviews and guidance from the faculty. ‘Pencil to Portfolio’ has been developed as part of ‘Creative Cloud: Connecting Art to Life’, an innovation lab that seeks to unlock the limitless potential of the human imagination through live, interactive, and engaging learning experiences.
