Manfa Movies in association with Goan Films launched their new film titled ‘Mama’ on June 16 at Black Box, Ravindra Bhavan, Margao.
This film, which is written by Com. Agostinho and directed by Fabian G.da Costa, marks the return of Manfa Movies after many years. In fact Manfa Movies were one of the earliest to release Konkani films on video together with Manfa Music, which released many Konkani
audio albums.
At the launch function, Fr. Vithal Miranda blessed the event. Following this the audience witnessed the ‘muhurat’ shot of the new movie. A couple of scenes from the film were also enacted live on the stage. Agostinho with Joyel and Dylan, also performed a couple of comedy skits. MLA Venzy Viegas and Warren Alemao attended
the function.
The film features an ensemble cast that includes Kevin D’ Mello, Dolla Mascarenhas, Jenifer Fernando, Rajdeep Naik, Vilban, Vishal Gawas, Tracy Dias, Comedian Agostinho, Comedian Joyel and others. The character of Disha, the little girl in the film, will be performed by Sanvi Pereira and Chloe Grace D’Costa. Photography is by Stephen A. da Costa.
