Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has congratulated the entire team of the Garhwali film ‘Dholi’ for winning the prestigious ‘Rajat Kamal’ award and a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh in
the feature film category at the 72nd National
Film Awards.

Dhami stated that this national-level honor bestowed upon ‘Dholi’ is a tribute to Uttarakhand’s rich folk language, folk culture, and
cultural heritage.

“This achievement is inspiring for the state’s film industry, artists, and creators, and it will bring a new identity to Garhwali cinema,”
Dhami said.

The Chief Minister congratulated the film’s production company, ‘SC Pharmachem Private Limited’, director Dinesh P. Bhonsle, who hails from Goa, and the entire team on this
achievement.

Dhami mentioned that the state government is continuously striving to develop Uttarakhand into a favorable destination for filmmaking. He added that film production in the state is being promoted through the new film policy, thereby creating new opportunities for local artists, technicians, and the youth.
