Sao Jose de Areal SC advanced in the Chandor Seamen Trophy after beating Cuncolim Union 4-3 on penalties following a 2-2 draw at the Chandor Church Complex Ground.
Cuncolim struck first through Wilson Fernandes in the sixth minute, but Josley Gomes equalised for Sao Jose six minutes later.
Azittan Viegas then put Sao Jose ahead in the 36th minute before Daulat Dessai levelled for Cuncolim immediately after the restart.
With neither side able to break the deadlock, the match went to a tie-breaker.
Sao Jose converted four penalties through Bersal Viegas, Stanley Olivera, Josley Gomes and Ashwin Costa. Cuncolim scored through Wilson Fernandes, Fraser Fernandes and Viraj Velip.
