Misquin’s unbeaten century and Yadav’s four-wicket haul seal their maiden win
Panaji: Goa secured their first victory of the season with a commanding 174-run win over Bihar in the Colonel CK Nayudu Trophy Elite Under-23 tournament at the Rajgir International Cricket Stadium on Thursday.
Defending 297, Goa’s bowlers bowled Bihar out for 122 in 37.3 overs. The hosts were 91 for four and appeared set to resist, but Rahul Vishwakarma dismissed Mohammed Taufiq to trigger a dramatic collapse.
Bihar lost five wickets for nine runs, slipping to 100 for nine before being bowled out.
Left-arm spinner Anuj Yadav led the attack with 4 for 37, while Vinayak Kunte and Vishwakarma claimed two wickets apiece. Deep Kasvankar took the other wicket as Goa wrapped up the contest.
Earlier, Goa resumed their second innings at 201 for nine and added four runs before being dismissed for 205. Dishank Misquin, unbeaten on 97 overnight, completed his century with a boundary and finished on 101 not out, having struck 12 fours and a six.
Goa had earlier posted 295 in their first innings, with Bihar replying with 204 to concede a 91-run deficit. The second-innings effort, led by Misquin, gave Goa a sizeable target before their bowlers delivered the decisive blow on the final day.
