Winners of best floats and fancy parades announced

The winners of the Panaji Carnival 2025 fancy parades and float competitions have been declared.

In the Traditional Category, Koxtti Goykar Kudd Torkar from Curtorim, presented by Alexinho Da Silva, was declared the first-place winner. The second prize went to St. Anthony Boys Fatorda, presented by Joel Barbosa, for their float Goynchi Pormollit Fulam from Margao. Purvaz Goemkar, presented by Raul Pereira from Quepem, secured third place.

In the Institution Category, Panjim Young Stars (Cyrus Jorge George) from Mala was declared the winner, followed by NA Boyz (Nevin Mendes) from Nagao in second place. Joemax Brothers (Maxwell B. Dsouza) from Colvale took third.

Among Family Entries, Joao Menezes from Verna was declared the first-place winner, Sanitius C. Rebello from Margao came in second, and Tyron Carlos Souza from Margao placed third.

In the Fun Junky Car Category, Lenin Ferrao from Colvale secured first place. Jolly Family of Mapusa, represented by Terence Carvalho, won second, while another Jolly Family of Mapusa entry, presented by Denzil Carvalho, took third.

In the Joker/Clown Category, Narshinv B. Kurtikar from Ponda was declared the first-place winner, Anishkumar Poke from Morjim received second, and Shreyan P. Udaikar from Cuncolim placed third.
