India head coach Manolo Márquez, on Wednesday, announced a 28-member probables list for the national team’s training camp in Kolkata, set to begin on May 18, as the Blue Tigers gear up for the crucial FIFA International Window and the AFC Asian Cup 2027 Final Round qualifiers.

Placed in Group C alongside Bangladesh, Hong Kong China, and Singapore, India are eyeing qualification to Asia’s premier tournament with a home-and-away round-robin format in play. All four teams currently sit on a point apiece after their opening fixtures ended in draws, adding pressure and intrigue to the upcoming fixtures.

The Blue Tigers’ next major assignment is an away clash against Hong Kong, China at the Kai Tak Sports Park in Kowloon City on June 10. Before that, the squad will undergo a 10-day preparatory camp in Kolkata, followed by a FIFA International Friendly against Thailand in Bangkok on June 4.

Marquez’s probables list features a mix of experience and emerging talent, with Sunil Chhetri leading the line alongside in-form attackers like Manvir Singh, Lallianzuala Chhangte, and Suhail Bhat. The midfield boasts depth with Brandon Fernandes, Lalengmawia Ralte, and Ashique Kuruniyan among the key names, while the defence is anchored by veterans Sandesh Jhingan and Rahul Bheke.

The goalkeeping department includes Vishal Kaith, Amrinder Singh, Gurmeet Singh Chahal, and youngster Hrithik Tiwari.
