Former Australia paceman Mitchell Johnson has urged England to change their mindset towards their approach if they are to mount a fightback in the Ashes after successive eight-wicket defeats in Perth and Brisbane.

Australia lead the series 2-0 ahead of the third Test at the Adelaide Oval, starting Wednesday. England, who last won the Ashes in 2015, have endured heavy losses in their last three series Down Under, including 5-0, 4-0 and 4-0 drubbings.

Johnson, said conditions in Adelaide could favour England, with less bounce and more assistance for spin. “Australia are in a strong position but won’t be complacent. if England get it right, it’s not like they can’t come back,” he added.
