The state executive meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party held in the city on Saturday decided to strengthen party organisation in all 40 constituencies, and launch ‘Mission 30 Seats’ in 2027.
State Bharatiya Janata Party president Damodar ‘Damu’ Naik said that his party will contest the Assembly elections in all 40 constituencies.
“However, the decision on an alliance would be taken at a right time by the high command,” he added.
Presently, the BJP runs the government in alliance, among others, with the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party whose MLA Ramakrishna Dhavalikar is a cabinet minister.
The meeting passed a political resolution to launch an all out, intensive public contact campaign across Goa, highlighting BJP’s development model (Vikas), its inclusive welfare systems (Vishwas) and vision for a self-reliant and prosperous Goa.
Naik remarked that the ‘anti-incumbency’ for BJP exists only on social media, and not in reality. He also said those BJP leaders, who are holding various posts but not doing any work, have been told to renounce these posts.
Naik said there are around 10 constituencies in the state, where the party needs to further strengthen its organisation, and that would happen.
“We are confident of winning 30 seats in 2027,” he noted.
Earlier, the meeting was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting L Murugan in the presence of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Union minister Shripad Naik, Damodar Naik
and others.
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane along with several BJP ministers, MLAs and senior party leaders were also present at the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that by drawing inspiration from the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Goa is steadily progressing towards Viksit Goa 2037 with a strong focus on infrastructure, social welfare, sustainability, innovation and inclusive development under the ‘double engine’ government.
He also added that BJP karyakartas from Goa are 100 per cent capable of making the party retain power in 2027.
The meeting further witnessed the unanimous passing of a resolution congratulating Modi for becoming India’s longest-serving Prime Minister with an uninterrupted democratic mandate.
The meet hailed Modi’s leadership and highlighted the developmental benefits Goa has received through the Centre-state ‘double engine’ government model.
The state executive meeting also discussed key organisational and political matters during the session.
The meeting observed that fulfilling every assurance, following Antyodaya as the guiding philosophy, infrastructure and digital growth, and unmatched organisational preparedness are all resulting from the power of the ‘double engine’ government.
