Goa Police, Rashtriya Raksha Univtie-up for enhanced training, research

Goa Police in collaboration with Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) will work jointly to enhance the capabilities of the police force through training, education, and research. 

In this connection a MoU was signed on Thursday. The key areas of collaboration include affiliation and certification, academic and research programmes, training support, online and offline activities, collaborative research. 

The Additional Director General of Goa Police, Omvir Singh on Thursday (in virtual mode) signed a MoU with Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) in the presence of DIG Ajay Sharma. Also present
were Director Fire Services, officials of 108 ambulance service, Health Services etc. 

The memorandum of understanding on behalf of RRU was signed by the Vice Chancellor of the Rashtriya Raksha University, Prof Dr Bimal N Patel. 

Police said that the purpose of this MoU is to synergise the expertise of the Rashtriya Raksha University with the aim to undertake up-skilling and training programmes and encouraging innovations in the fields of security in general and research, innovation, incubation, training and online education. 

According to the police this collaboration outlines a comprehensive approach to strengthening the Goa Police force through education, specialised training, and applied research. By combining academic expertise with practical policing needs, this partnership will enhance the capabilities of the Goa police, ensuring that they remain at the forefront of effective and modern law enforcement strategies., Goa Police said in a statement issued.
