Bro Eusebio Miranda to receive TSKK’s Fr Antonio Pereira Konkani Puraskar 2026

Bro Eusebio V Miranda, SFX, has been selected for Thomas Stephens Konknni Kendr’s (TSKK) Fr Antonio Pereira Konkani Puraskar 2026, for long-standing service to the Konkani language and culture.

The Antonio Pereira Konkani Puraskar is a prestigious annual award in Goa, instituted by the TSKK,a Jesuit-managed research institution in Goa, to honour eminent Konkani personalities for their contributions to the language, particularly in the Roman script.

The Dr Jack Sequeira Konkani Puraskar 2025 has been awarded to Edvin Fernandes. Instituted by Pio Esteves, the award is given to a Goan, irrespective of gender, caste or creed, who has contributed to the promotion of Konkani language and culture in the Roman script.

The Maria Afonso Konkani Puraskar 2025 has been conferred on Fr Milagres Dias. Instituted by Fr Ave Maria Afonso, this award recognises the contribution of a Goan priest, nun or religious to the growth of Konkani language and culture in the Roman script.

Tancia Pires has been selected for the Valerio Carvalho Konkani Puraskar 2025. Instituted by Roque Carvalho, the award is presented to a Goan girl or woman who has worked for Konkani in the Roman script.

Fr Gabriel Coutinho is the recipient of the Fr Casimiro D’Mello Konkani Puraskar 2025. Instituted by Marjorie D’Sa, the award is given to a Goan activist who has worked consistently to defend and promote Konkani in diverse ways.

The Martir Floriano Vaz Konkani Puraskar 2025 has been awarded to Fr Eusebio Gomes, SFX, for his book Satvik Vichearanchiek Ganthonn, selected as the best book of the year in Roman Konkani. The award is instituted by TSKK.

In addition to these literary awards, TSKK will also present sponsored scholarships to deserving and promising students who pursue their school education with Konkani as a subject.

The award ceremony will be held on January 26, 2026, at 5 pm at the TSKK premises.
