The state Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister PramodSawant on Saturday, approved a series of proposals, including the relocation of the proposed water supply project from Mirabag to Panchwadi, the creation of 100 posts under the Comunidades administration, and the extension of consultancy services for preparing a tourism master plan and policy.
Addressing a press conference after the Cabinet meeting, Sawant said the Cabinet had approved the repurposing of Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited (IPSCDL) into a state-level urban development special
purpose vehicle.
The Cabinet also passed a resolution congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing 25 years of dedicated public service. “On the historic occasion of Modiji completing 25 years of continuous service as the head of government, the Council of Ministers of Goa places on record its appreciation of his long and dedicated journey in public service, beginning as Chief Minister of Gujarat on October 7, 2001 and thereafter as Prime Minister of India from May 26, 2014,” Sawant said.
Sawant said the Cabinet had approved the extension of services of KPMG Advisory Services Pvt. Ltd. under Phase II for preparing a tourism master plan and tourism policy.
The Cabinet approved charging 50% of the PWD-computed rent for the respective shops allotted to existing shopkeepers of the old municipal building in the newly constructed municipal building
in Curchorem.
The Cabinet also approved the shifting to Panchwadi of a proposed barrage and a 50 MLD raw water pumping station, which were earlier planned at Mirabag.
To strengthen the Zonal Agriculture Office at Sankhali, seven regular posts across various categories have been approved.
The Cabinet cleared an amendment to the Goa Comunidade Employee Conditions of Service
Act, 1981.
, through an ordinance to provide a statutory framework for the recruitment and service conditions of employees working under the administration of the Comunidades. Around 100 posts will be created, and the Comunidades will conduct the recruitment, Sawant said.
