Chief Minister Pramod Sawant chaired a meeting with Chief Secretary and Secretaries to various government departments at the Secretariat, on Monday to review the implementation of various government schemes and budget implementation.

Discussions were also held on streamlining execution and ensuring effective delivery of services to every Goan.

Later, Sawant said that fast-tracking and streamlining of state budget assurances and preparation of proposals for announcements made in the Union Budget were discussed at a high-level review meeting held today.

“Our proposals for Union Budget announcements need to go from day one,” he said.

Speaking to the media after chairing the meeting, Sawant said that officials have been directed to prepare the proposals to be sent to the Centre by the end of April.

“Preparations for the upcoming NITI Aayog meeting were also reviewed,” he said.
