Announcing his expansion plans, Yog Guru Baba Ramdev on Saturday said that Goa will soon be home to Patanjali Ayurved’s largest wellness centre after Haridwar. He said the project will be developed with support from the state government.

Speaking to reporters after conducting a yoga session for government officials at the Yog Setu corridor in Panaji, organised on the sidelines of the first India International Ayurveda and Wellness Expo and Summit 2026, Baba Ramdev said the Goa government is taking steps to promote wellness tourism by developing a large pool of trained therapists and doctors.

He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream is that India should become a global destination for health and a destination of Sanatan wisdom. Ramdev said efforts are being made towards bringing people to Goa for health, wellness and spiritual tourism.

“People should come here for everything from self-healing to self-realisation. Goa is a beautiful and deeply spiritual place. People should come here for sustainable health,” he said.

The Yog Guru called upon senior Hindu religious leaders, including Shankaracharyas, to take personal responsibility for the
protection of cows by adopting and rearing them. He said that slogans and conferences alone cannot safeguard cows.

Baba Ramdev said that those who speak about protecting cows should lead by example. “Senior saints, seers and Shankaracharyas should themselves rear cows – one, two, five or even ten thousand. Only cow rearing will ensure their real protection,” he said.
