AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal, on Saturday, urged the party leaders to build a strong grassroots organisation that genuinely represents the people of Goa.

Kejriwal held an interaction with the state office bearers of the party in Goa. During the meeting, Kejriwal listened to suggestions from party leaders and shared his vision for strengthening AAP’s organisational presence
in the state.

AAP said that the leaders raised serious concerns related to large-scale land conversions, destruction of khazan lands, and damage to lakes and rivers, highlighting how unchecked development backed by BJP is harming Goa’s ecology
and livelihoods.

Kejriwal said, “Our strength has always been our connection with people. Strengthen the organisation at the grassroots and become the voice of Goa. Listen to people’s problems, help them raise issues, and ensure those issues are taken to their logical conclusion. Helping people and getting their work done is the real purpose of politics.”

AAP Goa president Valmiki Naik said that Goa is facing an unprecedented assault on its land, khazans, rivers and lakes. “Our responsibility is to stand with the people and raise these issues fearlessly. We should further strengthen our organisation and ensure that we help people protect their land and fight for their rights,” Naik said.

AAP Goa in-charge Atishi said that AAP’s politics is rooted in service, honesty and accountability.

“We have discussed how local leaders must engage more deeply with communities, understand their concerns and work consistently to resolve them.,”
she said.
