Police have booked a man for allegedly sexually harassing a minor girl studying at a school.
Ponda police said the incident occurred on Friday afternoon when the accused allegedly touched the private parts of the student without her consent. The victim later narrated the incident during a counselling session at the school. Following this, the counsellor lodged a police
complaint.
Based on the complaint, police registered an offence under Sections 74 and 75(i) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023, Section 8(2) of the Goa Children’s Act, and Section 8 of the POCSO Act.
Further investigation is underway, and LPSI Anjali Dulapkar is in charge of
the case.
