Multi-crore fraud: Mumbai cops take Sunita into custody

Police from Mumbai have taken custody of Sunita Rodrigues, former wife of the main accused Myron Rodrigues, who is allegedly involved in a case of multi-crore investment fraud
in Goa.

In Mumbai too, the accused duo has been named in a cheating case wherein the amount is over Rs 5 crore, said police, adding that, Myron is on the run.

Mumbai police took Sunita into custody, with assistance from the Crime Branch police, Goa. An FIR has been registered at the MHB Colony Police Station, Mumbai wherein she has been named as an accused along with Myron in the cheating case.

She was earlier arrested by the state Crime Branch for her alleged involvement in the multi-crore investment fraud case of August 2023. She was subsequently released on conditional bail by the District and Sessions Court, Margao. The Mumbai police obtained two-day
transit warrant after producing Sunita before the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC), Panaji, and was taken to Mumbai.
