The state government has revised the Goa Gram Samridhi Yojana for panchayats to provide financial assistance for durable community, social, and economic assets, along with infrastructural development in rural areas.

The Rural Development Department said that the scheme aims to create lasting infrastructure in villages, with the state providing 100% funding.

The prescribed limit of each work will preferably be restricted to Rs 50 lakh (estimated value excluding GST and contingencies). However, in special cases, works up to Rs 1 crore may be taken up with the recommendation of the department committee and the prior approval of the Finance Department.

Administrative sanction for all works and financial sanction for projects up to Rs 50 lakh will be given by the committee. For proposals above Rs 50 lakh and up to Rs 1 crore, Finance Department approval is essential.

The scheme allows all works that create durable, productive community assets, as per the needs of the area and its people, to be taken up by village panchayats or Zilla Panchayats.

Priority will be given to infrastructure supporting agriculture, community assets for education (including kitchen sheds), health, internal and link roads (including those linking villages to main roads outside Panchayat areas), other socio-economic community works, and projects under convergence with the MGNREGA Scheme.

Proposals must be
supported by documents such as the relevant NOCs, project estimate with drawings and RCC designs, site plan, etc.
