Anil Gaonkar bags four-goal haul in their 7-0 victory
Poriat: Churchill Brothers thrashed Bidesh XI Sports Club 7-0 in the GPL Relegation League at Duler Stadium, Mapusa on Wednesday.
Churchill’s Anil Gaonkar was the star of the match netting four goals while Harichandra Haramb, Clive Miranda and Anuj Kuttikar found the back of the net once in their win.
With the win Churchill remained in the 13th position with 15 points from 17 matches while Bidesh XI remain achored at the bottom. In the Super League, Calangute Associaton eased past Chapora Yuvak Sangh 2-0 at Poriat ground.
At halftime the score remained 0-0.
Calangute’s Suraj Kumar opened the scoring in the 65th minute while Arun Naik sealed them the victory in the 85th minute.
