Curtorim Gymkhana were crowned champions in the Simon Barreto Memorial Inter-village Football Tournament after a 2-0 win over Fr Agnelo YSC Paroda at DSYA ground, Curtorim.
Ryan Fernandes set the tone early, finding the net in the 10th minute to give Curtorim the lead. The side continued to dominate proceedings and doubled their advantage in the 35th minute, courtesy of Nelly Hilario, whose composed finish put the game beyond Fr Agnelo YSC’s
reach.
Despite their best efforts, Fr Agnelo YSC struggled to break down a resolute Curtorim defense.
