Margao: DnM Avengers and Mangirish Veterans secured victories in their respective clashes at the 2nd Goa Veteran Cricket League T20 at MCC Ground.

Mangirish pulled off a thrilling chase, overhauling Vasco Mariners’ 154/6 in 19.5 overs with two wickets in hand. Raghuveer Lotlikar (65) and Chandrakant Ghadi (50) powered Vasco Mariners to a competitive total after electing to bat. However, Mangirish Veterans responded in style, with Damodar Redkar (53) anchoring the innings before Razashad Shaikh’s blistering 45 off 25 balls sealed the win with a ball to spare. Balkrishna Hodarkar (2/35) was the standout bowler for Mangirish, while Shaikh’s match-winning knock earned him the Man of the Match award, presented by Rizwan Khan.

In the other fixture, DnM Avengers chased down Royal Ruby’s 127/9, reaching 129/5 in 18.4 overs. A stellar bowling effort from Sagar Gosavi (4/18) restricted Royal Ruby, despite contributions from Sanjay Dabolkar (33) and SB Yadav (29). Micky Colaco (37) and Naresh Parsekar (20*) ensured a smooth chase for the Avengers.
