Arnaav Chettri nets a hattrick, Romit Das scores a brace in their 7-0 victory
Fatorda: Sesa FA endured a difficult outing against a sharp and clinical East Bengal FC side, going down 0-7 in their Dream Sports AIFF Junior League clash at Fatorda.
Jahid Karikar broke the deadlock in the 11th minute. Sesa struggled to cope with the pace and movement thereafter, as Romit Das struck twice in quick succession to stretch the lead. Arnaav Chettri added another just before the break, leaving Sesa trailing 4-0 at halftime.
Despite attempts to regroup, Sesa found it difficult to contain the attacking waves. Taibur Molla added a fifth before Chettri completed his hat-trick with two more goals late in the game.
Elsewhere, Sreenidhi Deccan sailed past Jamshedpur FC 4-0.
Sreenidi took the lead in the 13th minute through Syed Riyan, setting the tone with aggressive forward play. T. Retish Singh doubled the advantage, ensuring Sreenidhi went into the break firmly in command.
The pressure continued after the restart, with I. Nirus Meitei adding two more goals in the second half to seal a comprehensive victory, as Jamshedpur struggled to cope with the pace and finishing.
At Raia, Bengaluru FC defeated SSE BFC Soccer Schools Mumbai 3-1.
