FC Goa struck deep into stoppage time to complete a 2-1 comeback win over Geno FC in the GPL Super League at Sirsaim, turning a frustrating evening into a statement result that extends their strong run following qualification for the National Championship Stage of the Reliance Foundation League.

FC Goa dictated the early tempo, with Asher Rodrigues leading the charge against a disciplined Geno FC backline. Against the run of play, Geno FC found the breakthrough just before the interval, Vasim Inamdar striking to give his side the lead at the break.

The equaliser arrived with ten minutes remaining when Malsawmtluanga reacted quickest to a loose ball inside the box and guided it home.

 

With stoppage time approaching, FC Goa pushed forward and found the decisive momentin the dying minutes of the match, substitute Freden Mendes setting up Shawn Fernandes, who finished calmly from distance to complete the turnaround. The result moves FC Goa to 29 points in the GPL Super League standings.
