Goa tightened their grip on the Cooch Behar Trophy Elite (U-19) match against Assam, posting 376 before reducing Assam to 48 for 4 on Day 2 at the Bandodkar Ground, Panaji on Monday.

Resuming at 218 for 4, Goa’s innings was anchored by Dishank Misquin, who crafted a composed 88 off 208 balls with 10 fours and a six. His 91-run seventh-wicket stand with Sai Naik (45) came when Goa were 250 for 6, giving the innings much-needed stability. Shiven Borkar’s unbeaten 21 added further value down the order. For Assam, Amit Choudhary claimed 4 wickets, while Alham Wahid and Mohit Thakur picked up two each.

Assam’s top order faltered early. Samarth Rane removed Tushar Borah (1) and Armand Zuffri, before skipper Yash Kasavankar dismissed Prabal Kalita. Just before stumps, Mihir Kudalkar struck to send back Barunjoti Malakar (31), the only batter to offer resistance.

Goa’s bowlers finished with disciplined figures—Rane 2/15, Kasavankar 1/13, Kudalkar 1/0—leaving Assam in deep trouble and staring at a follow-on heading into Day 3.
