Cyril,  Milroy star in their 2-1 win over Peddem Bomm SC

Goa Velha: Guardian Angel SC were crowned champions after a 2-1 over Peddem Bomm Sports Club in the 17th London Trophy at Goa Velha ground.

Cyril Dias opened the scoring in the 24th minute, showing fine composure to round off goalkeeper Soma Korgaonkar before finding the back of the net. The Curchorem side took a 1-0 lead into the break.

Milroy Clement doubled the advantage in the 40th minute, calmly slotting past Korgaonkar to make it 2-0. Peddem Bomm SC responded with urgency and pulled one back through Mohammad Adur, who capitalised on a rare defensive lapse to reduce the deficit.

However, Guardian Angel custodian Rasal Fernandes proved to be the difference, pulling off a stunning double save late in the game to deny Peddem Bomm an equaliser. His heroics between the posts ensured Guardian Angel held firm to lift the coveted title.

The final was graced by the presence of Dimitris Dimitriou, Antonio Albuquerque, Andre Pereira, Agnelo Fernandes, Iyno De Souza, Emilia Caiado, Monica Miranda, Anthony Vas, Omkar Vaigankar, Laxman Hadfadkar, Lamgoulen Semkholun, Rajnish Lawande, Raymond Caiado, Andre Silva, Jose Silva and Elvis Rego.
