Karimabad crush Goa SA by 208 runs

Karimabad CC produced a dominant performance to defeat Goa SA by 208 runs in the GCA Division A North Zone match at Panjim Gymkhana on Monday.

After electing to bat, Karimabad posted a competitive 294 in 43 overs with several batters contributing valuable runs. Aaditya Kota and Dishank Misquin led the charge with identical scores of 70, laying a strong platform for the innings.

The middle order maintained the momentum as Sanjay Yadav added 32, while Vinit Kamat contributed 28. Vardhan Misquin remained unbeat
en on 32 to provide the finishing touches.

Goa SA’s bowlers struggled to contain the flow of runs, though Sahil Mandrekar picked up three wickets for 61. Saksham Kerkar finished with 2 for 54, while Viraj Rane accounted for one wicket.

In reply, Goa SA never settled in the chase and were dismissed for 86 in 25.5 overs. Abhishek Diwadkar top-scored with 20, while Hari Mhamal added 14.

Maruthi Huggi starred with the ball, returning figures of 4 for 14 to dismantle the batting line-up. Dhananjay Rao chipped in with 2 for 23, while Aaditya Kota also claimed a wicket.

Huggi’s was named the Player of the Match.
