LD Samant High School made light work of People’s High School, registering a commanding nine-wicket victory in their U-14 President Cup clash at the Panjim Gymkhana ground on Wednesday.

Put into bowl, LD Samant’s bowling unit dismantled People’s HS for a modest 89 in 22.4 overs. Sanchit starred with the ball, returning figures of 4 for 24, while Saish (1/12), Prathamesh (1/13), Sunny (1/13), and Shaurya (1/2) chipped in with crucial wickets. Shriram (23) and Yaseen Nadaf (11) offered brief resistance, but the rest of the batting failed to fire. In reply, LD Samant chased down the target with ease, reaching 93/1 in just 14.3 overs. Opener Shivam anchored the innings with a fluent unbeaten 32, well supported by Om Bhonsle (19*) and Saiesh (17). Shriram picked up the lone wicket for People’s HS, finishing with 1/8.
