Parish Youth Nuvem held their nerve in a tense penalty shootout to overcome Betalbatim Sporting Club 5-3 and seal their place in the next round of the 33rd St Rock’s Super Soccer Cup at the Calata ground on Wednesday.

The match ended 1-1 in regulation time, with both sides finding the net in either half. Betalbatim struck first through Keith Rodrigues, who converted in the 19th minute to give his side an early advantage. But Nuvem hit back after the break as Nicolau Colaco levelled matters in the
60th minute.

With no breakthrough in the closing stages, the match headed to penalties. Nuvem remained composed from the spot as Nicolau Colaco, Leroy Colaco, Alvito Dais and Darwin Colaco all converted. Betalbatim managed to find the net through Ashley Fernandes and
Alaric D’Cunha.
