Nagoa

Pax of Nagoa eased past Churchill Brothers 3-0 in the Goa Professional League Relegation League at Nagoa panchayat ground on Friday.

Nagoa’s opener came early as Stephen Satarkar weaved past his marker and set up Velroy, who took a touch before rifling a powerful strike into the net. Nagoa doubled their lead with a moment of brilliance—Satarkar threading a precise through ball to Adarsh on the left, who curled a stunning effort into the top corner. The third arrived in the second half when Satarkar’s incisive pass sent Beneston Barretto through, and after a defensive mishap, the forward slotted home into an empty net to seal the win.

Nagoa struck first as Stephen Satarkar weaved past his marker before laying off a precise pass to Velroy. The forward took a touch to set himself up and rifled a shot from the edge of the box, burying it into the back of the net to hand his side the early lead.

Fueled by the goal, Nagoa doubled their lead with a moment of brilliance. Stephen Satarkar threaded a perfectly weighted through ball to Adarsh on the left flank, who took control before curling a stunning strike into the top corner, extending his side’s advantage.

Nagoa kept their foot on the gas, pressing for more. Minutes later, Nickson Castanha whipped in a dangerous cross from the right, finding Satarkar in the box, but his close-range tap narrowly missed the target.

Churchill pushed hard for a breakthrough but the Nagoa defense held firm to their 2-0 lead before halftime. Nagoa widened their lead early in the second half. Stephen Satarkar sliced through the Churchill backline with a precise through ball to Beneston Barretto. Though Barretto’s first touch was slightly heavy, the Churchill goalkeeper rushed out but failed to secure the ball, allowing Beneston to pounce and slot it into an empty net.
