Corjem Youth Club clinched a narrow 2-1 win over Madel Sports Club in the War of Champions Cup, organised by Fondegal Youth Club at the St Alex Church ground in Curtorim on Monday.
Rhay was the star of the evening for Corjem, netting a clinical brace that proved decisive. The striker struck once in each half to put his side in command despite a spirited response from Madel SC, who pulled one back through Saish.
Madel pushed hard in the final stages in search of an equaliser, but Corjem’s defence held firm to seal the win and book their place in the next
round.
Rhay’s performance earned him the Man of the Match honours.
