Sporting Clube de Goa came from behind to defeat Pax of Nagoa SC 3-1 in the Goa Professional League at the Nagoa Panchayat ground on Tuesday.

Nagoa took the lead in the 25th minute when Siddharth Rana’s mispass under pressure gifted Beneston Barretto an easy finish inside the box. Sporting Clube equalized in first-half stoppage time through a corner routine, with Ivon Costa’s delivery flicked by Sushil to an unmarked Francisco Fernandes, who headed in from close range.

In the second half, Sporting Clube surged ahead as Selwyn Miranda’s low cross found Sushil at the far post for a simple tap-in. Vikram Venktachalam sealed the win with a brilliant solo effort, weaving past defenders and firing a stunning strike into the top corner.

At Duler Stadium, CD Salgaocar thumped Panjim Footballers 4-0.CD Salgaocar’s Isac Zomuanpuia netted a brace while Suraj and Pratesh Shirodkar scored one each in their win.

Meanwhile, Sesa FA edged out Vasco SC 2-1 at Tilak Maidan. Sesa’s Shridharnath Gawas netted once while Vasco’s Khongsai scored an own goal. Vasco Reuben Letkhotinchon pulled one back for Vasco.
