Doyal nets from the spot in 1-1 draw against CNFC

Panaji: Sporting Clube de Goa opened their I-League 2 campaign with a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Chanmari FC (CNFC) at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium on Friday, securing their first point of the season.

Doyal Alves put Sporting ahead in the 16th minute, converting from the spot to give the visitors an early lead.

However, CNFC responded in the 39th minute through Vincent Lalduhawma, who leveled the score before halftime. The result sees Sporting Clube de Goa move to one point, while CNFC sit on seven.
