S.S. Dempo College of Commerce and Economics, Cujira, Bambolim crushed P.E.S. Ravi S. Naik College of Arts and Science, Farmagudi by 75 runs in the Goa University Inter-Collegiate Cricket Championship, on Friday.

Opting to bat, Dempo College posted 198 for 6 in 20 overs with Aryan Mashelkar top-scoring with 82 off 46 balls and Ishan Singh adding 50 from 31 deliveries. Lakshadeep claimed 2 for 43.

Chasing the target, Ravi Naik College finished at 123 for 9 in 20 overs with Lakshadeep scoring 21 off 12 balls. Yash Manjrekar returned figures of 3 for 25, while Ishan Singh picked up 2 for 5 to guide Dempo College to victory. Mashelkar was the top batter, Manjrekar the best bowler and Ishan Singh the top all-rounder.

In another match, VP’s Mandre College of Commerce, Economics and Management

Batting first, GC Agriculture were bowled out for 91 in 18.3 overs with Nityay Kunkolienkar scoring 27. Shivprasad Tulaskar led the bowling attack with figures of 4 for 20, while Devesh Salgaonkar supported with 2 for 9.

In reply, Mandre College chased down the target, reaching 93 for 6 in 8.1 overs. Atharv Chandure top-scored with a quickfire 55 off 24 balls.
