Vidya Prabodhini College and Government College Khandola registered victories in the Goa University Inter-Collegiate Women’s Cricket Championship
at Peddem.

Vidya Prabodhini outplayed Goa College of Engineering with a clinical 10-wicket win. GEC were limited to 70 for 7, with Vaishnavi
Bhonsle (3/14) and Ruchi Kumbhar (2/6) leading the bowling effort, while Krutika Mahale top-scored with 28.

The chase was swift as Vidya Prabodhini reached 71 without loss in 4.2 overs. Ruchi
Kumbhar struck 39 off 19 balls, supported by Bhonsle’s 17, wrapping up the contest early.

In the other match, Government College Khandola defeated Shree
Damodar College by nine wickets. Shree Damodar posted 98 for 2, led by Palak Arondekar’s 44.

Khandola responded steadily, finishing at 99 for 1. Deevita Palkar scored 37, while Jiya
Naik added 35. Palkar’s all-round effort earned her the Player of the
Match award.
