In an effort to bridge the gap between art appreciation and investment, Carpe Diem, Majorda, is hosting the art exhibition ‘Art Investments 2025’ from February 22 to March 31, 2025.

Featuring 15 distinguished Goan artists, the show seeks to also foster dialogue on the value of collecting art—not just as an expression of aesthetic appreciation but as a tangible asset that appreciates over time.

Among those whose works will be displayed is Goan artist and sculptor Damodar Madgaonkar, whose paintings are known for their surreal depictions of elephants in dynamic poses, bold lions, and intricate mandalas, each carrying deep socio-cultural narratives.

Govind Vishwas’s expertise meanwhile spans painting, printmaking, installation art, and ceramics while Vibha Singh is proficient in contemporary abstract painting and the intricate tradition of Pichwai (Rajasthani folk art), working across diverse mediums such as oil, acrylic, and watercolour.

Another exhibiting artist Harshada Sonak is acclaimed for her portraits of children and laborers in agriculture, construction, and other services, reflecting her deep empathy for people and their struggles.

Shirish Vasant Deshpande, whose work will also be part of the show, is a renowned ballpoint pen artist, ranked ninth among the world’s top 100 ballpoint pen artists in 2010. Also in the line-up is Sachin Upadhye, a self-taught artist and photographer known for his expressive and dynamic knife paintings.

Another noteworthy artist whose work is on display is Vivek Kumar, a hearing and speech impaired sculptor and 3D artist whose work serves as his voice. His sculptures, often featuring exaggerated ears, explore the contrast between hearing and truly listening, urging viewers to reflect on communication and perception. Skilled in fiberglass, wood carving, and bronze, he blends traditional sculpture with 3D graphics and animation, working extensively with Blender 3D.

The other artists in the show are Kiran B. Hanamshet, Narsimhalu Almelkar, Praveen Naik, Shailesh Dabholkar , Sunil Lingu Shirodkar, Uday Chari, Vasudev Shetye, and Vishesh Chari.
