YUVA Panaji recently organised the first All-Goa School-Level PowerPoint Presentation Competition at Mushtifund High School, Cujira-Bambolim. The aim of the event was to instill Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s values in students while highlighting his administrative and social policies.
Twenty students from 20 schools participated, presenting on Shivaji Maharaj’s governance, military strategies, and social reforms. The competition was judged by historian Prajal Sakhardande and Aditya Watve, with criteria including content, clarity, creativity, and presentation
skills.
Dr. K.B. Hedgewar High School, Cujira, won first place, followed by G.S. Amonkar Vidya Mandir, Mapusa, in second, and St. Joseph Institute, Vasco, in third. Consolation prizes went to Chubby Cheeks Spring Valley High School, Pilerne; Saraswat Vidyalaya, Mapusa; and Bhatikar Model High School, Margao.
Chief guest Dilip Dharwadkar, treasurer of Mushtifund Saunstha, emphasised the importance of learning from history and applying Shivaji Maharaj’s principles today.
